When we were born, we were crying. When we leave this world, will everyone cry because our departure would be considered a great loss to society?
I find it very easy to like and love the kindest and most humble people? Have you observed that those who are usually kind and humble are people who acknowledge and accept that they’re not perfect? These are people who give deep respect to others regardless of their dark past and stature in life. These are people who are not self-righteous and do not have spiritual pride.
Unless we accept that we, too, are imperfect, we will find it difficult to accept the imperfection of other people. We will always have the tendency to judge, condemn, look down, and be irritated by the weaknesses and limitations of others.
In our world today, there are many wounded people around us. Let us try to open our eyes and be sensitive to their needs, feel and share with their pain, and empathize with them.
However, showing kindness in not that easy because we have to put others ahead of our own self --- we have to get out of our way, welcome interruption in our routine, and go out of our comfort zone to be able to show kindness. When we are kind to others, it may appear that we are a loser. We will lose our valuable time. We will lose money. We will lose our convenience. We will lose our agenda.
But let our gratitude be the foundation of being good and kind to others. We only pass this world once so, whatever good that we can contribute, let us endeavor to do. According to the degree that we give, serve, and help, we will experience the by-product of happiness.
How do we want to be known then?
Kind?
Compassionate?
Humble?
Gentle?
Patient?
Peace Maker?
Loving?
Generous?
The world needs someone as awesome and wonderful as you are. The world is longing for heroes, role models, source of inspiration and hope, advocates of true justice, beacons of noble generosity, sowers of peace, and bringers of love. Take your place. Live your life to the fullest with a glorious legacy.
